Environment Pollution

Environment Pollution is a serious problem that badly affects the entire earth and living organisms including man. Major source of pollutants are combustion of fuels, industrial wastes, dust, mist, smoke, fog, fumes, and many others. It is a fact that most of these sources are inevitable for us. That makes this problem a puzzled phenomena. We are living in a world that is suffocating out of polluted environment. Major conditions for life to exist; air and water are polluted in an unimaginable way. Nasty smell in Indian cities suffocates us. In a developing country like India, where rich are the richest and poor are the poorest, pollution is a threat for our existence. In this highly populated country, we must accept that industrialization and modernization are inevitable. At the same time, we must remember that problems due to pollution is the result of lack of care and ignorance. Resolution of this immense problem, thus become the most serious in our country.
Most serious type of pollution in our country is water pollution. Many Industries are functioning in our country. Sewage from these industries are the main cause of water pollution. These wastes are drained into the water resources. Sewage treatment is the only solution. Most of the known rivers in India are nasty. This includes the holy rivers Ganges and Yamuna. Even small rivers like Bharathapuzha are deeply polluted. People living in the bangs of these rivers are suffering from various contagious diseases. Many unknown diseases arise due to this. Air pollution is mainly due to burning of fossil fuels like coal and petrol. it cause respiratory diseases. Usage of lead in petrol was banned in India recently. This shows the seriousness of the condition. Air pollution is common in the major cities and industrial areas like Delhi and Mumbai.
Sat Foundation work towards educating society about the actual situation of environmental Pollution in India. Tam of Sat Foundation regularly visiting to urban slum areas to aware them about the cause and effect of pollution in society. We collect the garbage and waste from slum dwellers and recycle towards productive use. We aware children, women and youth of urban slums by organizing nuked natak by the means of these nataks we can easly aware and inform slum dwellers about the importance of water in society. Negative effect of water, air and land pollution.
Their are numerous methods to reduce pollution, but most of them are not practical. Moreover people are not ready to accept them. Recycling of waste products is the most advisable to reduce pollution. Do not drain wastes into water sources. Alternative methods should be practiced. Reduce the use of fuels. Use wind mills and solar energy to produce electricity. In industries fuels are essential. Usage can be reduced by using efficient machines. Same method is applicable in the case of vehicles. Nuclear wastes should be disposed with intensive care. Proper waste draining system should be present in hospitals. Huge industries should be replaced to isolated areas. This holds good in the case of nuclear power plants. These are the most practical methods. As We said earlier though there are numerous methods, most of them are not practical.
